Goals
- To pay for emergency veterinary care and spay/neuter costs.
- To upgrade existing facilities.
Overview
All Heart Pet Rescue takes in up to 300 dogs a year, many from northern Ontario where shelter facilities do not exist. Dogs have come here from as far north as Fort Albany and Moosonee and over a dozen of the "Mile 26" dogs were taken in from north of Cochrane. Dogs from the local area are also taken in. These dogs are all given necessary veterinary care and then are assessed for behaviour and special needs.
Dogs will stay at All Heart until they are ready to be adopted. Since many have behaviours that make them unadoptable when they arrive, they are given all the time and rehabilitation they need until they are ready for a new home.
