Overview
During celebrations of its 75th Anniversary in 2011, Elgin County Library will challenge residents of Elgin County, Ontario to learn more about their local library! Everyone who has an active Elgin County Library card can participate in the:
- What's your Elgin County Library Story contest by entering a story using any medium, talent, artistic or writing skill about an event or experience involving one of our library branches that was important to or helped you and/or a family member to learn. First, Second and Third place prizes will be awarded in Children, Teen, Adult and Staff categories. Winners will be picked based on creativity, quality and effectiveness fo conveying the story; and
- Challenge 75 by completing a list of 75 library-related actions to receive an Anniversary gift and enter to win a grand prize. For example, patrons can search our online databases for information or catalogue to place a book on hold; be a fan of our Facebook page, or join a special program, etc.
