Overview
Our primary goal is to continue to assist victims in the healing process of what is a very complicated and profound grief. Although we recieve funding through The Manitoba Justice System, The Federal Victims Fund and The Winnipeg Foundation, we are still experiencing serious shortfalls in funds available in order to continue to achieve our main initiatives:
Telephone support - 24 hour a day/7 day a week service for assistance and information.
Court & Parole Support - attends court & parole hearing with families
Office Support - is in imminent danger of ending due to funding shortfall and provides an essential service to our families as well as fundamental support to the organization as a whole.
Public Awareness & Events - We speak to community groups and familes of homicide about the unique difficulties facing them and the resources available.
Monthly Sharing Support Meetings - victims meet with a therapist to share thier feelings and thoughts
